One in 5 Facebook accounts secretly accessed by friends, spouses

Business Insider published a Digital Journal story on UBC research that found one in five adults have secretly accessed social media accounts of their friends, romantic partners or family members using the person’s own device.

Researchers from UBC’s computer science and electrical and computer engineering departments found that the motivations for doing this included fun, jealousy, curiosity, utility, and animosity.
