The Guardian highlighted work by Daniel Pauly and Dirk Zeller, researchers at UBC’s institute for the oceans and fisheries, that found the world’s annual fish catches had been seriously underestimated.
Pauly said he expects fish catch numbers will continue to decline since countries will not realise the need to rebuild stocks.
