Toronto mayor wants tolls on major highways into city

Robin Lindsey, a professor at UBC Sauder School of Business, spoke to the Canadian Press for an article about a proposed toll highways in Toronto.

Lindsey specializes in transportation funding and noted that there are added benefits to tolls such as encouraging more people to take transit which would lower congestion and pollution.

“Much of the pollution comes from the stop-and-go traffic you see on these highways,” he said. The story appeared on Maclean’s, CTV, Winnipeg Free Press, and News Talk 980.
