Parents may need help getting their kids to exercise more

Parents made aware of their kids’ inactivity are less likely to encourage exercise, finds research from UBC Okanagan, reported by CBC Vancouver.

“We need to start helping parents be able to promote physical activity, and we need some public policy and programs to help them,” said Heather Gainforth, assistant professor of health and exercise sciences.
