Mother and son graduate from UBC together

CTV’s Canada AM reported on mother-son duo Randy and Jocelyne Robinson who will both graduate from UBC this week.

Randy will graduate with a law degree and Jocelyne will graduate with a PhD in education. Both are Algonquin from the Timiskaming First Nation in Quebec.

The pair intends to use their degrees to address the First Nations’ inequities that contributed to their decisions to return to pursue a higher education.
