Fort McMurray wildfires mean huge changes for businesses

Jeremy Stone, a PhD candidate in urban planning at UBC, was interviewed on Roundhouse Radio about the implications of the Fort McMurray wildfires.

He discussed the impact on local businesses and the ways residents may cope with the devastation.

“One of the things especially for local governments and chambers of commerce and banks… to consider, is that to have a strong recovery it’s not just about coming back to normal. There will never be a normal again. This will be a completely changed environment and economy,” Stone said.

The segment begins at 10:26.
