“Vegans will be looking for plant-based protein sources, such as legume (e.g., soy, pea, peanut), nut (e.g., Brazil), seed (e.g., hemp, chia), and grain-based (e.g., brown rice, quinoa) powders,” Hammond told Postmedia. “People with allergies to specific foods such as nuts, eggs or dairy will avoid these types of protein supplements.”
