UBC release of uncensored personal information an ‘honest mistake’

A review into UBC’s release of uncensored documents related to the resignation of former president Arvind Gupta has determined it was an honest mistake, The Globe and Mail reported.

“The disclosure was an accidental result of UBC’s good-faith attempt to be open and transparent,” the report said. The report was written by former B.C. information and privacy commissioner David Loukidelis.
