First Trudeau budget increases age gap in federal spending

The federal budget does little to help younger middle-class families, spending far more on people over the age of 45, says UBC policy professor Paul Kershaw, in an op-ed in The Province.

“We should protect medical care and retirement-income security for our parents and grandparents but we must also adapt as urgently to the time, money, service and environmental squeeze facing younger Canadians,” Kershaw wrote.
