On Saturday, June 27, CiTR invites members, friends, donors, fans and alumni to their new station opening party and first broadcast from their new studios.
CiTR’s brand new home features more space for studios, their music library and growing staff and volunteer base. The new Student Union Building (SUB) is located next to the current SUB and Aquatic Centre. The spectacular new building is five stories and 230,000 square feet. It is 50% larger than the current building, to serve the needs of an expanded student population, and will be the first student union building in the world to be LEED Platinum certified for environmental sustainability.
Join us on Friday, June 26 at 7-10 p.m. for a “wake” to say goodbye to the old station. On Saturday, June 27, join CiTR from 1-5 p.m. for the first and last broadcast, with the switchover to the new studios at 2 p.m. Alumni are invited to broadcast throughout the weekend. Visit www.citr.ca/newstationcelebration to RSVP and for more information.
