Psychiatry prof receives funding for Bipolar Youth Action Project

Dr. Erin Michalak, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, has received funding from the Vancouver Foundation’s Health and Medical Education/Research Grants for a study titled The Bipolar Youth Action Project. The two-year community action project, undertaken in partnership with the Bipolar Disorder Society of British Columbia, aims to build knowledge about how youth living with bipolar disorder cope with the condition and to build capacity for youth to engage in participatory mental health research.
