Linc Kesler, director of the First Nations House of Learning, has won Yale’s 2013 Wa-Na-Xi-Lay Hunkah (Henry Roe Cloud) Native Alumni Achievement Award.
Henry Roe Cloud was the first Native American to attend Yale.
The award acknowledges “the crucial capacity building that Dr. Kesler has accomplished, as his efforts have directly resulted in generations of educated and skilled Native youth in both the United States and Canada.”
