There are fears over the future of some varsity programs at UBC as the athletics and recreation department implement a new competitive sports model.
“At this point, it’s not a topic I can talk about appropriately,” said Ashley Howard, UBC’s new athletic director. “It would be breaking every single protocol in terms of a thorough, quality process, which is what I want to do.”
