History prof named McLean Chair in Canadian Studies

UBC history professor Tina Loo is the new 2013-2015 Brenda and David McLean Chair in Canadian Studies. Development and displacement, the subject of her McLean lectures, is further explored in her current project “Moved by the State,” in which she looks at different episodes of forced relocation in postwar Canada involving Inuit, Newfoundlanders, Quebeckers, Africadians and Chinese-Canadians.

The McLean Chair teaches the Senior Seminar in Canadian Studies (CDST 450) and in the second year of tenure, gives the McLean Lectures in Canadian Studies. For more information, click here.
