Materials engineering graduate student Ehsan Mohammadi Zahrani has been awarded one of the eight NSERC Vanier CGS awards. He was ranked first out of the 16 UBC applications sent to NSERC. Zahrani studies the electrochemical behavior and corrosion properties of new biomaterials for hard tissue human body implants and drug delivery application under the supervision of Prof. Akram Alfantazi.
