Japan’s Princess Takamado visited UBC in June to present
a collection of books on Japanese society and culture to UBC’s
Asian Library. The donation was made in honour of her late
husband, His Imperial Highness Prince Takamado. While on campus,
Her Imperial Highness also toured the Nitobe Memorial Garden
and stopped in at the Liu Centre for a reception with members
of the UBC community involved in Japanese studies and research.
