Three Nobel Peace Prize Laureates — His Holiness the 14th
Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Professor Shirin Ebadi
— join Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi and Dr. Jo-ann Archibald
in an afternoon dialogue that explores the nature of community,
the challenge of sustainability and the transformative possibilities
of compassion. Bishop Michael Ingham of the Diocese of New
Westminster will moderate.

The panel, with the exception of Archbishop Tutu, will meet
with the media following the Dialogue.

All members of the media and technical support personnel
must be accredited in order to attend. Members of the credentialed
media who have not picked up their media access passes may
do so at 11 a.m. at the media registration desk outside the
main entrance of the Chan Centre.

Media access will be limited to still photographers inside
the venue. For fairness, shooting time may be restricted due
to space limitations. All other media will be provided a video
and audio feed of the Roundtable Dialogue in the Telus Studio
Theatre. The feed will also be available from Telus’
Television Operating Centre.

Anyone who accepts the feed must limit use of footage to
three minutes and credit any footage used as “Courtesy
of CBC Television.”

Media will be required to present photo identification in
order to clear security. Please note space in this venue is
limited and access will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please plan to arrive at 11 a.m. in order to clear security.

Due to space considerations and security, we recommend media
attend the Roundtable Dialogue in order to ensure access to
the post-Dialogue Meeting with the Media. Due to security
media may not be admitted immediately prior to the news conference
or during it.

Please note only light refreshments will be provided during
the afternoon.
