Axworthy hosts conference to discuss the rebuilding of Afghanistan

How to rebuild Afghanistan will be a major topic of discussion
at a conference to be hosted by Lloyd Axworthy, CEO of the University
of British Columbia’s Liu Centre for the Study of Global Issues
in association with the Canadian International Development Agency
(CIDA).

Participants at the conference, entitled "Development, Conflict
and Peacebuilding: Responding to the Challenge," include UBC
experts in conflict prevention and human security, United Nations
and CIDA officials and relief agency workers who are flying in directly
from Kabul, Afghanistan for the event.

Axworthy and other conference delegates will be available for select
