UBC hosts holiday dinner for students unable to get home

UBC’s 7th Annual Christmas Dinner for Students will help over 200
students unable to get home for the holidays get into the festive
spirit by offering a traditional turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.
With door prizes, music and caroling and even a visit from the jolly
elf himself, it will be a great opportunity for students – many
away from family at Christmas for the first time in their lives
– to take part in holiday celebrations away from home.

The event is sponsored by UBC Awards and Financial Aid, UBC Chaplains,
Counselling Services, the Disability Resource Centre, Food Services,
Housing and Conferences, International House, the Registrar’s Office,
Student Health Services and the Women Students’ Office. Tickets
are just $2 ($5 at the door) and student ID is required.
