favourites from MOA’s diverse collections; launch of commemorative book; unveiling
of Canada Post MOA 50th anniversary commemorative stamp.
June 5, The Golden Gala. Black-tie fundraiser features live and silent
auctions, fashion show, dinner with renowned Northwest Coast artists, writers,
and performers. Funds go to support the Gallery III renovation.
June 20, National Aboriginal Day. Unveiling of a spectacular Musqueam
weaving by artists Debra and Robyn Sparrow; reception featuring First Nations
speakers, dancers, and drumming; 20th anniversary reunion of Native Youth program
participants.
July 1, First-ever Family Day. Outdoors behind MOA near Haida houses
with music, drumming, and dancing by well-known Vancouver performers.
