Kerry Jang, a UBC professor of psychiatry and city councillor, spoke to Global after former Vancouver mayor Larry Campbell said he wants the federal and provincial governments to allow free opioid prescriptions for those with addictions.
Jang said he supports the use of prescription opioids, citing successful instances of the practice in Europe.
