Manslaughter charges for fentanyl dealers when customers die?

Isabel Grant, a UBC law professor, spoke to the Vancouver Sun for a story on the possibility of charging fentanyl dealers with manslaughter when a customer dies from taking the drug.

Grant said potential issues with convicting someone of murder include proving the drug resulted in the death, and proving the dealer knew the drug would lead to death or bodily harm likely to cause death.

The story also appeared in The Province.
