Metro News interviewed Kaylee Byers, a UBC zoology PhD candidate and researcher with the Vancouver Rat Project, after a pest control company named Vancouver the city with the most rats in the province.
Byers said human presence helps rat populations thrive and the pests can be very resourceful to ensure their own survival.
