Dismay over ovarian cancer outcomes leads to new professorship

A new professorship created by the family and friends of the late Dr. Chew Wei, a Hong Kong physician who retired to Vancouver, will be devoted to finding new ways of detecting and treating women with ovarian and other gynaecological cancers.

UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health open new medical research centre

A new research facility opened today for scientists at the University of British Columbia and Vancouver Coastal Health, providing the space and equipment to study treatments and possible cures for people with prostate cancer, ovarian cancer and bone and joint problems.
