China halts meat imports from Canada

Paul Evans, a professor at UBC’s school of public policy and global affairs, was mentioned in a Globe and Mail article about the temporary suspension of meat imports from Canada to China.

In a separate Radio Canada article, Yves Tiberghien, a professor of political science at UBC and a specialist in Asian affairs, explained that Canada is doing everything to “define, solve and identify the problem, and demonstrate that it is an isolated case.”
