The Globe and Mail quoted Thomas Kerr, a professor in the department of medicine at UBC and a senior scientist at the B.C. Centre on Substance Use, in an article about the impact of overdose deaths on life expectancy in Canada.
“It is tragic and unacceptable, but not entirely surprising,” he said.
