Wendy Norman, a professor in the department of family practice at UBC, spoke to the Globe and Mail about the announcement from Health Canada that ultrasounds will no longer be required when getting the abortion pill.
“We think this is a terrific answer to the calls that rural health-care providers have been making across the country to be able to help the women that they see,” she said.
