Canadian Geographic published an article about research from UBC which found that honey from urban beehives can indicate pollution levels.
Kate Smith, a PhD student at the department of earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences, explained that certain trace elements were found in higher concentrations in honey from cities compared to rural areas.
