Kelowna Capital News reported on research from UBCO’s School of Engineering which is developing a handheld biosensor that can test for cryptosporidium contamination in drinking water.
George Luka, a PhD student and the study’s lead author, explained that the current process is slow, expensive and unreliable, and there is an urgent need for a more efficient method.
