Is taking 10,000 steps every day really the magical path to achieving your fitness goals?

Jan 2, 2019

A National Post story on the default health goal of 10,000 steps daily mentioned UBC research.

In a study reported in 2018, UBC physical therapy researchers found that Fitbit devices tend to overestimate the steps people actually take. But they do “a really good job at tracking and monitoring patterns of behaviour,” according to lead author Lynne Feehan.

The story also appeared in the Calgary Herald and Regina Leader-Post.
