CBC mentioned UBC scientist Brett Finlay in an article about E.coli.
Finlay developed a vaccine which reduces the amount of E. coli cattle shed into the environment, but which was subsequently not used.
“Because of the creativity of the idea to vaccine the cows for a human disease, it sort of landed in a never-never land for who is going to take onus for it and [be] responsible for it,” said Finlay.
