Heidi Tworek, assistant professor in international history at UBC, was interviewed on CBC‘s Spark about a report she co-authored. The report is aimed at helping the government find ways to regulate harmful speech online.
Tworek uses the term “harmful” instead of “hate” and says that it covers “all sorts of abuse and harassment that happens online that may not be illegal but is still hampering our democratic discourse.”
