UBC Okanagan offers its expertise to struggling parents

The Salmon Arm Observer reported on a new wellbeing clinic on UBC Okanagan’s campus. The Social Work Walk-in Clinic is designed to support parents with concerns about their children’s mental health.

“We aim to normalize the fact that parenting is challenging. We want parents to feel safe to say ‘I am worried about my child’s mental health’ and then help them develop effective, evidence-based parenting tools to support their children,” said clinic director Hilla Shlomi.
