UBC is researching how zero-waste dining and eco-friendly food choices can make a difference, using its campuses as “living labs”. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from food.
Dr. Candis Callison, professor in the school of public policy and global affairs and the Institute for Critical Indigenous Studies, co-wrote that understanding how existing social systems influence, and are influenced by, climate change is key to slowing the effects of an increasingly warming Earth.
