Global reported on the 2018 wine harvest and the effects of smoke from this year’s wildfires. Previous research from UBC Okanagan found that exposure to smoke during the ripening stage could change the flavour profile of the wine, however growers are optimistic that this year the grapes have escaped unscathed.
