Star Vancouver quoted Yue Qian, a UBC sociology professor, for a story about an increase in Singapore flights from Vancouver.
Qian, whose research focuses on marriage, family and immigration, said there are long-standing channels of cultural exchange between many Asian cities and their Canadian counterparts.
