Program aims to help youths with intellectual disabilities

CBC reported on a new program at UBC’s Okanagan campus that aims to help young people with intellectual disabilities and autism find meaningful work.

“I think that there’s a lot of misunderstanding about the abilities of folks with intellectual disabilities or autism,” said Rachelle Hole, the project’s principal investigator, a professor at UBC’s school of social work and co-director of the Centre for Inclusion and Citizenship.
