The Province published an op-ed by UBC neurology professors Kristine Chapman and Judy Illes, about ads for stem-cell therapy.
“While some products for which health claims are made may have no effect or are simply innocuous, we are concerned that the recent ads for stem-cell therapy misled and exploited patients who are physically and emotionally vulnerable from their pain, and put them in harm’s way,” they wrote.
