Do new mothers get enough exercise?

Sarah Liva, a recent UBC nursing Phd graduate, talked about the low rates of physical activity among many new mothers on Roundhouse Radio. Exercise helps mitigate the risk of postnatal depression and other diseases, and Liva said it’s important for health-care professionals to be able to provide guidance on resuming exercise after childbirth.
