Psychology Today cited a study on risky outdoor play by researchers from UBC and the Child & Family Research Institute at BC Children’s Hospital in Canada.
Mariana Brussoni, the lead study author, said playgrounds with natural elements give children a chance to learn about risk and discover their own limits.
