Global reported on researchers at UBC’s Okanagan campus who discovered a dangerous toxin in one of Canada’s largest lakes.
The study, led by UBC chemistry researcher Susan Murch, showed high levels of the toxin BMAA in samples taken from Lake Winnipeg during an algae bloom last year.
