Giving the 13th floor to the people

Larry Beasley, a professor at UBC’s school of community and regional planning, suggests that every new building built in Vancouver should dedicate the 13th floor to community purposes as a way to address affordability issues in the region.

“This would be one very easy, convenient and fair way to insure that, no matter what happens in the future, there will always be some place for all of us in our beloved city,” said Beasley in Vancouver Sun op-ed.
