David Beers, an adjunct journalism professor at UBC, wrote an op-ed for The Conversation about smaller, independent news media outlets in B.C.
“As the collapse of advertising revenues is threatening to kill Canada’s major newspaper chains, B.C.’s indies are far less dependent on ad dollars for their survival,” he wrote.
