Hélène Frohard-Dourlent, a UBC researcher, spoke to Radio Canada about how health professionals are increasingly interested in all perspectives on transgender individuals.
“There are extraordinary people in the health network who are very active on this subject…the problem is that inequalities remain, especially at the geographical level, because unfortunately, these services tend to be concentrated in large urban centres,” Frohard-Dourlent said.
