Las Vegas shooting victim goes offline to escape internet trolls

Andrew Irvine, a math and philosophy professor at UBC’s Okanagan campus, was quoted in a Kelowna Capital News story about a Las Vegas shooting victim who chose to stay offline in order to avoid trolls that have conspiracy theories about the shooting.

“Conspiracy theories are driven by wanting a conclusion to be true rather than following the evidence where it leads,” Irvine said.
