Police should not pose as journalists – it puts us at risk

Police shouldn’t pose as journalists even for crimefighting purposes as it creates risks for journalists, says UBC journalism professor Peter W. Klein in an op-ed for the Globe and Mail.

“I can’t help worry that the methods used to achieve justice may be a slippery slope – one that could lead to journalists coming into harm’s way in the future,” said Klein, who also leads the Global Reporting Centre.
