Castanet reported on research from UBC Okanagan’s school of engineering that found new ways of making wastewater treatment safer and better smelling.
Cigdem Eskicioglu, the study’s co-author, said “there are strong arguments for wastewater treatment facilities to use anaerobic digestion, but the equipment required to control odour and to make the biogas safe have been an expensive barrier.”
