Scientists find DNA cause behind nut allergies

International Business Times featured UBC researchers who have identified a gene associated with an allergy to peanuts.

Denise Daley, study co-author and a professor in UBC’s department of medicine, said “the discovery of this genetic link gives us a fuller picture of the causes of food allergies, and this could eventually help doctors identify children at risk.”
