University Affairs cited a 2012 article in UBC’s Undergraduate Journal of Psychology about the effects of doodling.
The study, by UBC psychology student Elaine Chan, found that “doodling may only be beneficial in dual-task situations where the two tasks do not compete for the same information processing resources.”
