Michael Byers, the Canada Research Chair in Global Politics and International Law at UBC, was quoted in a Radio Canada story about the vulnerability of China’s current trade routes.
He said he expects Chinese involvement in the Arctic will grow if the country maintains its vast stores of capital available for investment.
